Design Build Full HVAC Replacements

Background

The Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City Independent School District is seeking qualification-based responses for a Design Build team to provide comprehensive services for the assessment, design, demolition, replacement, and installation of HVAC systems at three elementary schools: Schertz, Sippel, and Wiederstein. The existing HVAC systems are split DX units with hot water coil heating (Trane, circa 2008–2009) and are considered to be at or near the end of their useful life.

Work Details

The contractor will provide turnkey services that include: assessment of current HVAC systems, design of new systems, demolition of existing units, replacement with new HVAC systems, and installation of the new systems. Specific attention will be given to ensuring that the new installations meet current standards and improve energy efficiency.

Period of Performance

The contract work is expected to commence following the proposal acceptance on July 7, 2026, and will continue until all services are completed as per the project requirements.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed at Schertz Elementary School, Sippel Elementary School, and Wiederstein Elementary School located in Cibolo, Texas.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must respond to RFQ # 26-022C for Design Build Services for Full HVAC Replacements. There are no specific set-aside certifications mentioned in the solicitation.
