Volleyball Court System - Siesta Beach

Background

Sarasota County is requesting quotes from bidders to provide and install four new volleyball court systems at Siesta Beach, located at 948 Beach Road, Sarasota, FL 34242. The goal of this contract is to enhance recreational facilities in the area, aligning with the mission of Sarasota County Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources to provide quality recreational opportunities.

Work Details

The contractor will provide and install four volleyball court systems with the following specifications:

Court Dimensions

** Length approximately 52.5’ and Width approximately 26.25’.

Net System

** Length approximately 32”, Width approximately 3”, Mesh Size approximately 4” x 4”, made of Nylon or Polyethylene with a Blue PMS288 border color. Each net must include antennas with sleeves, horizontal cabling along the top and bottom, vertical rods within the border, adjustable height (7’4” to 8’), and feature white Sarasota County and Siesta Beach logos.

Post Specifications

** Made of 1/4” Aluminum, Diameter of 4”, Height at least 8’4”, powder-coated in Cardinal Paint T009-WH11 / Full Gloss Smooth White. Each post must include a box kite base that is securely anchored into the sand and removable. Posts must also be equipped with Blue PMS288 pro pole pads featuring logos.

Court Markings

** Must be black in color, securely anchored with sand plates (minimum 8” diameter), stainless steel carabiners, and bungee cords. Boundary lines marked with high-durability materials suitable for outdoor exposure.

Additional Requirements

** All components must be stainless steel to resist corrosion from saltwater. The contractor must remove existing wooden poles (8” x 8” x approx. 14’) and stack materials from the old court system in the Siesta Beach Maintenance Yard.

Period of Performance

Work shall begin within 60 days after receipt of a County Purchase Order and shall be completed no more than 90 days after receipt of a County Purchase Order.

The contract will be performed at Siesta Beach, located at 948 Beach Road, Sarasota, FL 34242.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must provide a minimum of two references demonstrating experience in similar services using the provided reference form. Bidders are required to have all necessary licenses and certifications active at the time of bid submission. The total bid price should not exceed $50,000.
