Background

Radford University, a comprehensive public university with 7,837 students, seeks to establish a contract for Concert Promotional and Management Services. The goal is to enhance campus and community engagement through high-quality entertainment services, generate event revenue, responsibly manage costs, and maximize financial returns while contributing to the cultural and economic vitality of Radford and the surrounding region.

Work Details

The selected Contractor will be responsible for recruiting, promoting, and managing performers and concert events for Radford University and the City of Radford. Services include: - Event operations management (including setup and breakdown) - Box office operations - Artist recruitment for concerts or series - Marketing and promotional services - Compliance with accessibility standards - Financial oversight including ticket pricing strategies - Post-event cleanup - Coordination with security personnel from local law enforcement agencies - Obtaining necessary permits and licenses for events - Ensuring adherence to all applicable laws and regulations. The Contractor must also provide detailed programming visions outlining booking strategies and demonstrate experience in managing similar events.

Period of Performance

The initial term of the contract is two years with an option for three additional two-year renewals based on satisfactory performance.

Place of Performance

Concerts will be held at Radford University located at 801 East Main Street, Radford, Virginia 24142, as well as potentially off-campus locations within the City of Radford.

Bidder Requirements

Offerors must comply with Small, Women-Owned and Minority-Owned (SWaM) business participation goals. They should provide proof of SWaM certification if applicable or describe plans to utilize SWaM subcontractors. Additionally, Offerors must be registered in the eVA electronic procurement system to submit proposals.
