Background

The Murray County School Food Service is seeking proposals to provide fresh produce products for the school year 2026-2027. The goal of this contract is to supply all ten school cafeterias within the Murray County School Nutrition Program, ensuring that students receive high-quality, nutritious food options. Work Details

Vendors are required to furnish and deliver a variety of fresh produce items as specified in the proposal sheet. The items include but are not limited to: - Apples (Golden Delicious, Red Delicious) in various counts and sizes - Bananas (Cavendish) - Cabbage (Green and Red) - Carrots (Medium size and Snack Pack) - Cantaloupe - Cauliflower - Celery - Cucumbers - Eggs - Grapes (Green and Red) - Grapefruit - Honeydew - Kiwifruit - Lemons - Lettuce (Iceberg and Romaine) - Limes - Mushrooms - Nectarines - Onions (Green, Red, Yellow) - Oranges (Valencia) - Parsley - Peaches - Pears - Peppers (Green) - Pineapple - Plums - Potatoes (Baking Russet) - Radishes

Romaine Blend Salad

- Squash (Yellow and Zucchini) - Spinach - Strawberries

Sweet Potatoes

- Tangerines - Tangelos - Tomatoes (Round and Grape) - Watermelons. Each item must meet specific quality standards as outlined in the solicitation.

Period of Performance

The contract will be effective from August 1, 2026 through July 31, 2027. Prices quoted must remain firm for this period. The Board reserves the right to extend the contract for up to four additional one-year periods upon mutual agreement.

Place of Performance

Deliveries will be made to ten schools located in Chatsworth, Georgia. Specific addresses include: Bagley Middle School, Chatsworth Elementary School, Coker Elementary School, Eton Elementary School, Gladden Middle School, Murray County High School, North Murray High School, Northwest Elementary School, Spring Place Elementary School, and Woodlawn Elementary School.

Bidder Requirements

Vendors must comply with several requirements including: - Certification regarding lobbying for proposals exceeding $100K. - Debarment certification for proposals over $25K. - Compliance with the Buy American Act. - Evidence of insurance coverage including general liability and automobile liability. - Vendors must maintain a Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) plan.
