2026 Meriwether LMIG Phase II

Background

The 2026 Meriwether County LMIG Resurfacing Project Phase II is initiated by the Meriwether County Board of Commissioners. It aims at resurfacing Alvaton Road from Hwy 85 to Luthersville Road, covering approximately 3.5 miles. The project seeks to enhance road safety and accessibility through necessary resurfacing and associated works.

Work Details

The project includes the following tasks: - Asphalt patching as required - Leveling/crack relief layer - Application of asphalt as the final surface - Striping - Shoulder building Specific items include: - Traffic Control (1 LS) - Shoulder Backfilling (3.5 ML) - Milling Asphalt Concrete Pavement at transitions & bridges (1000 SY) - Recycled Asphalt Concrete Patching Course (50 TN) - Recycled Asphalt Concrete Leveling Course (2150 TN) - Recycled Asphalt Concrete Wearing Course (4200 TN) - Single White Solid Stripe (7 LM) - Centerline Yellow Solid Stripe (3.5 RM) - Bituminous Tack Coat (8000 GL) - Thermoplastic Solid Traffic Stripe (3 EA).

Period of Performance

The work must be completed within 120 consecutive calendar days following receipt of the Notice to Proceed.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed on Alvaton Road in Meriwether County, Georgia.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must provide a Bid Bond of not less than 5% of the Base Bid amount. A Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each for 100% of the contract amount, are required from the successful bidder. Contractors and subcontractors must obtain a business license in Georgia, be fully insured, and hold a valid Contractor's License in Georgia. Compliance with the Georgia Security and Immigration Compliance Act is mandatory.
