Summary: Background The National Elk Refuge, managed by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, is located in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Established in 1912, its mission is to protect habitat and provide sanctuary for one of the largest elk herds in the United States. The refuge spans 24,700 acres and is home to an average of 7,500 elk each winter. The current solicitation (140FGA26Q0029) aims to address electrical repairs needed for seven structures within the Elk Refuge Compound. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to perform electrical repairs on the following structures: Administrative Building, New Shop Building with 3 Vehicle Bays, Quarters #20, Miller House Garage, Equipment Storage Building, Blacksmith Shop, and Winter Pasture Horse Shelter. Specific tasks include: 1. Administrative Building: Install three hardwired exit signs and replace two non-working GFCI exterior outlets located on the west side of the building. 2. New Shop Building: Install three hardwired exit signs and replace two non-working outlets located at specified locations. 3. Quarters #20: Repair two existing hardwired exit signs that are malfunctioning. 4. Miller House Garage: Install two GFCI outlets and complete a full electrical re-wire of the structure. Period of Performance The contract performance period is from July 6, 2026 to October 4, 2026. Place of Performance All construction projects will be performed at the National Elk Refuge located in Jackson, WY.
