Replace HVAC Steam Equipment and Piping Buildings 12 and 15

In Building 12, tasks include removing existing cooling systems, installing new ductless heat pump systems, replacing steam unit heaters with gas-fired units, and installing new underground gas service. In Building 15, the work involves replacing steam unit heaters, installing a multizone ductless heat pump system, and replacing existing condensate piping. Additionally, in Building 14, existing underground steam and condensate lines will be capped and abandoned while new overhead piping will be installed to connect to the existing systems. All new piping must be insulated per VA specifications. Bidder Requirements Bidders must ensure that all employees have completed a 10-hour OSHA certified construction safety course, while the general contractor's competent person must have completed a 30-hour OSHA certified construction safety course. Documentation of training must be submitted for review prior to any work being performed. Additionally, contractors are responsible for providing annual TB training and PPD tests for employees working at the VA Medical Center.
