Summary: Background The contract is issued by the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) for the Fort Totten Agency in North Dakota. The mission of the BIA is to enhance the quality of life, promote economic opportunity, and carry out the responsibility to protect and improve the trust assets of American Indians. The goal of this contract is to provide a complete removal and installation of a water softening system at the Fort Totten LE Adult Detention Center. Work Details The contractor is required to provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the complete removal of the existing water softener system and installation of a new water softening system. Specific tasks include: - Removal and proper disposal of the existing Ecowater water softener system (Model EWS322S) along with all associated materials and debris, including the salt bin. - Installation of a vertical pressure type water softener system that includes a pressure vessel, softening resin, control valve, brine maker, and electronic controller. The new system must be fabricated by a manufacturer regularly engaged in producing water treatment equipment. - Connection of the new water softener system to existing water supply, drain, and power sources, including installation of all necessary piping, ball valves, and fittings. - All products must be stored according to manufacturer recommendations until installation. Period of Performance The period of performance for this contract is from April 13, 2026, to May 15, 2026. Place of Performance The construction projects will be performed at Fort Totten LE Adult Detention Center located at 106 2nd Avenue North, Fort Totten, North Dakota 58335.
