Background

The City of Moline is issuing an Invitation to Bid for the Asbestos Project at 715 23rd St., Moline, IL, as part of their Strong Communities Program 2 (SCP2). This initiative aims to improve public health and safety, eliminate blight, and support neighborhood revitalization through the demolition and utility disconnection of residential structures.

Work Details

Contractors are required to perform the following services: 1. Demolition of residential structures; 2. Utility disconnection; 3. Asbestos abatement which includes: - Applying for and obtaining necessary permits; - Inspecting buildings for asbestos-containing materials; - Securing and isolating those areas; - Providing protective coverings; - Pre-treating surfaces with wetting agents; - Ensuring worker protection with coveralls and respirators; - Disposing of asbestos in designated drums; - Conducting air monitoring and clearance testing. All work must comply with City of Moline Codes and Ordinances.
