Background

The Florida Department of Education, Division of Blind Services is seeking qualified vendors to replace a failed chilled water coil in the Dorm Makeup Air Handler at the Career, Technology, and Training Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired. The failure of one of the two coils has led to insufficient cooling in dorm rooms, necessitating this replacement to ensure comfort for students.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for: 1) Removing the damaged chilled water evaporator coil from the McQuay chilled water make-up air handler. 2) Providing and installing a new chilled water evaporator coil that matches the existing one. 3) Reconnecting all water lines and re-insulating them. 4) Checking the system for proper operation. The bid price must include all labor, parts, equipment, and associated costs necessary to complete the project.

Period of Performance

The contract will commence upon execution and is expected to be completed within a timeframe that aligns with operational needs.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed at the Career, Technology, and Training Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired located at 1132 Willis Avenue, Daytona Beach, Florida 32114.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be licensed and insured to perform the required services in Florida. They should also comply with all applicable local and state codes. Additionally, bidders must certify they are not on either the Scrutinized Companies with Activities in Sudan List or the Scrutinized Companies with Activities in Iran Petroleum Energy Sector List if their bid exceeds $1 million.
