Off-Site Camera Replacement Services for Public Transportation Department

Background

The Municipality of Anchorage, through its Public Transportation Department, is seeking proposals for off-site camera replacement services. The goal of this contract is to upgrade and migrate surveillance camera systems across multiple transit locations to enhance security and compliance with IT standards. The current systems are outdated and require significant upgrades.

Work Details

The selected vendor will provide all equipment, materials, and labor necessary for the following tasks: 1. Replace all cameras at specified locations including Downtown Transit Center, Dimond Transit Center, Benson & Spenard, Muldoon Southwest, UMED-Providence, 6th Avenue Transit Office, and Mountain View Library. 2. Perform infrastructure work by reusing existing cabling and mounting where possible and installing new wiring and conduit where required. 3. Migrate all cameras from MxManagement to Milestone XProtect VMS, including reprogramming cameras and configuring user access roles. 4. Upgrade server and storage by removing existing NAS devices and installing Milestone XProtect Recording Servers at designated transit centers. 5. Provide new viewing computers as needed and install the Milestone viewing client on MOA computers. 6. Validate camera inventory at all locations, investigate offline cameras for replacement, configure onboard SD card edge recording where applicable, and perform full system testing.

Period of Performance

The contract period is expected to commence upon award with an anticipated completion date within a specified timeframe that aligns with project milestones outlined in the proposal.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed at various transit locations within the Municipality of Anchorage.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must demonstrate relevant experience in surveillance camera installation and VMS migration with at least three references for similar projects. Proposals must include an itemized cost proposal not to exceed $90,000.
