Background

The State of North Carolina, through its Department of Health and Human Services, is seeking a qualified vendor to provide janitorial services for the DEIPD office located at 2832 Neuse Blvd., New Bern, NC 28562. The goal of this contract is to maintain a clean and sanitary environment for the office, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

Work Details

The vendor will be responsible for various janitorial tasks including: - Emptying trash cans and replacing liners. - Cleaning and disinfecting countertops and sinks in the kitchen. - Dusting ledges and surfaces. - Vacuuming carpets. - Sweeping and mopping floors. - Cleaning bathrooms. - Replenishing supplies (toilet paper, hand soap). - Maintaining deodorizing agents in bathrooms. - Conducting periodic deep cleaning tasks. The vendor must provide all necessary cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring they are of commercial quality and compliant with EPA standards. All cleaning services must meet the approval of the Office Manager or Designee.

Period of Performance

The initial term of the contract will be one year from the effective date of execution. The State has the option to renew the contract for up to two additional one-year terms.

Janitorial services will be performed at the DEIPD office located at 2832 Neuse Blvd., New Bern, NC 28562.

Bidder Requirements

Vendors must be registered with the North Carolina Secretary of State and adhere to all federal, state, and local laws. They are required to conduct annual criminal background checks on personnel performing services under this contract. Additionally, vendors should not substitute key personnel without prior written approval from the Division Agent.
