Purchase of Delinquent Municipal Real Property Tax and Sewer Usage Liens

Background

The Town of Stratford is issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the purchase of delinquent municipal real property tax liens and delinquent municipal sewer usage liens. The goal of this contract is to allow interested parties to acquire these financial obligations, totaling approximately $3,035,625.60, inclusive of interest and charges, from the 2024 Grand List and prior. This initiative is part of the Town's efforts to manage its financial liabilities effectively.

Work Details

Interested parties are invited to submit written sealed proposals for the purchase of the following: 1. Delinquent Municipal Real Property Tax Liens (referred to as 'Delinquent Tax Liens'). 2. Delinquent Municipal Sewer Usage Liens (referred to as 'Delinquent Sewer Usage Liens'). The total amount for these liens is approximately $3,035,625.60, which includes interest and charges. The performance of this contract will take place within the jurisdiction of the Town of Stratford.
