Background The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking to procure preventative maintenance and repair services for the Dormakaba lock system at the Milwaukee VA Medical Center (VAMC). The goal of this contract is to ensure the security and functionality of the lock systems, which are critical for maintaining safety and access control within the facility. This solicitation is for a base year with four option years, emphasizing the importance of ongoing support and maintenance. Work Details The contractor shall provide all travel, labor, supervision, materials, tools, and equipment necessary to maintain and repair the Dormakaba lock system located at the VA Medical Center. Specific tasks include: - Access to a technical help desk during normal business hours and unlimited technical assistance. - Quarterly on-site maintenance visits (8 hours each) to perform: - System date and time updates. - Generation of audit logs. - Diagnostic checks on locks and components. - Battery verification and replacement as needed. - Lock inspections for wear/damage and lubrication. - Cleaning of hardware and calibration of controllers. - Software version checks and upgrades. - Reprogramming of keycards and access points. - Verification of remote access controllers (RAC 5XT). - Security protocol verification. - Backup configuration data. - Emergency response plan ensuring support within four hours of incident report. - Compliance with all facility requirements including drug-free policies, security protocols, and records management. Period of Performance Base period begins on August 1, 2026, with options extending through July 31, 2031. The prime contractor or any subcontractors must hold active certification from Dormakaba to perform service on RT+ locks.
