Background

Work Details

The selection of Landmark Ford Auto was based on their availability of the required vehicles at a reasonable price.

The emergency purchase was communicated to the vendor to start work on June 1, 2026.

Place of Performance

The vehicles will be utilized throughout the State of Illinois by inspectors traveling to meat and poultry slaughter and processing facilities, as well as farms.

Bidder Requirements

The Illinois Department of Agriculture made efforts to include contractors certified under the Business Enterprise Program but found that only two vendors were available, neither of which sold vehicles. The agency contacted multiple vendors to ensure competition but ultimately selected Landmark Ford Auto due to their ability to meet the urgent need.
