Background The Department of Veterans Affairs, specifically the VA Altoona Health Care System, is seeking to replace critical boiler safety relief valves to prevent over-pressurization of boilers, which could lead to catastrophic damage and potential injury. Work Details The contract requires the purchase of eight (8) Kunkle Pressure Relief Valves, detailed as follows: - 4 units of Kunkle 300LLJ01-AS0115, 2.5" 300# X 4" 150# Safety Relief Valves. - 4 units of Kunkle 300LKH01-AS0110, 2" 300# X 3" 150# Safety Relief Valves. Salient characteristics include: - All valves must be constructed of cast steel with exposed steel spring valves that meet ASME section I ‘V’ for steam. - The 2.5” flanged inlet valves must be rated at 300LBS and have a relief capacity of 17,177LBS/hr set at 115LBS. - The 2” flanged inlet valves must be rated at 300LBS and have a relief capacity of 10,644LBS/hr set at 110LBS. Delivery is required FOB Destination to Altoona VAMC within 90 days after receipt of order. Period of Performance The geographic location(s) the product will be delivered to or performed at.
