Background The Regional Maintenance Center at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS&IMF) is issuing this solicitation to support its mission of revitalizing and optimizing industrial infrastructure. The goal of the contract is to provide short-haul flatbed trucking services for the movement of government materials in support of upcoming military construction projects. Work Details The contractor will provide flatbed truck and trailer hauling services to relocate between 60,000-100,000 square feet, approximately 4-5 million pounds, of government-owned outdoor equipment and materials between various Naval Base Kitsap (NBK) sites and government leased facilities. All locations are less than 35 miles apart. The contractor is responsible for relocating all equipment and materials identified by the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) up to the maximum quantity outlined in the approved vendor quote. The loading and unloading of materials will be performed by government personnel using government-owned material handling equipment. The contractor shall specify vehicle types, sizes, and quantities in their quote, identify if drop-trailers are available, and state the minimum notification period for scheduling transport.
