The Commonwealth of Virginia ( Commonwealth ), Department of General Services, Division of Purchase and Supply, Virginia Distribution Center, ( DGS or DPS or VDC ) is conducting marketplace research regarding an integrated, automated system solution ( solution ) for distribution center operations that leverages current technology and industry best practices. The Commonwealth is particularly interested in solutions that support the operational needs (including robust inbound/outbound logistics, forecasting, directed putaway, and issue/exception tracking) of a food-grade distribution center handling frozen, refrigerated, and non-refrigerated food, as well as housekeeping and other supplies, including HAZMAT items.
