Background The Indian Health Service, Kayenta Health Center (KHC) located in Kayenta, Arizona, has a requirement for the installation of four ground diesel monitoring wells. This project is a response to an incident where 400 gallons of diesel fuel spilled into the ground and storm drainage pond on September 16, 2024. The goal of the contract is to ensure compliance with national Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations and Navajo Nation EPA standards by installing monitoring wells to monitor seepage. Work Details The contractor shall install four ground diesel monitoring wells at the Kayenta Health Center. The work includes: 1. Preparing a proposal for the installation of four monitoring wells. 2. Mobilization and travel costs. 3. Digging wells per provided drawings to a depth of 40 to 50 feet. 4. Providing all necessary tools and personal protective equipment (PPE). 5. Documenting all work performed. 6. Informing the Navajo Nation EPA about the installation process. 7. Providing well monitoring services for one year, with an option for an additional year, including sampling results submitted to NN EPA. Period of Performance The period of performance for this contract is from July 1, 2026, to October 31, 2026. Place of Performance The contract will be performed at the Kayenta Health Center located at Highway 160, Mile Post 394.3, Kayenta, AZ. Bidder Requirements Bidders must demonstrate experience by having successfully completed at least three similar contracts within the past three years. Additionally, contractors must be knowledgeable about National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Codes and EPA well monitoring standards.
