Notice to Providers of Professional Services for Kona Low Storms Projects

Background

The County of Maui, through its Department of Environmental Management, Solid Waste Division, is seeking to retain qualified professional teams for emergency disaster recovery services related to the Kona Low Storms. This solicitation is intended to establish a pool of pre-qualified firms for anticipated work during the balance of calendar year 2026.

Work Details

The professional services required include: 1. Solid Waste Design Services (Categories A, B, C, D, E) 2. Environmental Laboratory Services (Categories A, B, C, D) 3. Construction Management (Categories A, B, C, D) 4. Miscellaneous Surveying Services (Categories A, B, C, D) 5. Miscellaneous Civil Engineering Services (Categories A, B, C, D) 6. Miscellaneous Structural Engineering Services (Categories A, B, C, D). The budgeted consultant fees are categorized as follows:

Category A

Less than $25,000;

Category B

$25,000 to $50,000;

Category C

$50,000 to $150,000;

Category D

$150,000 to $300,000;

Category E

Over $300,000.

Period of Performance

The contract will be performed from May 26, 2026 to December 31, 2026.

Place of Performance

The services will be performed in Maui County.

Bidder Requirements

Firms must submit a letter of interest and resume electronically via Public Purchase and must be registered with Public Purchase. Resumes should include references to the professional service categories on the cover page and provide details about the firm including age and average number of employees over the past five years. Compliance with Hawaii Compliance Express requirements is mandatory including Hawaii State Tax Clearance and Certificate of Good Standing from DCCA.
