Background

The City of Sandy Springs is seeking qualified contractors to complete stormwater infrastructure improvements at 160-172 Dalrymple Road. The goal of this project is to rehabilitate and enhance the existing stormwater system to extend its service life and restore positive drainage in the area, particularly addressing issues related to overgrown channels and standing water.

Work Details

The project includes the following specific tasks: - Rehabilitation of approximately 114 linear feet of corroded corrugated metal pipe (CMP). - Replacement of 8 linear feet of existing 18-inch reinforced concrete pipe (RCP) with new 18-inch RCP. - Installation of a new standard headwall with stone veneer finish. - Replacement of four existing catch basins (two double-wing and two single-wing). - Installation of approximately 48 linear feet of 24-inch curb and gutter. - Installation of steps within an existing manhole. - Re-grading and stabilization of the drainage channel using non-woven filter fabric and river rock stone. Additionally, fourteen trees will be removed as part of the channel re-grading work. All construction activities must remain within the existing right-of-way and acquired temporary construction easements.

Period of Performance

The selected contractor must start work within ten (10) calendar days after receiving the 'Notice to Proceed' and complete the project within ninety (90) calendar days from that date.

The contract will be performed at 160-172 Dalrymple Road, Sandy Springs, Georgia.

Bidder Requirements

Contractors must perform at least 51% of the work themselves. They are required to have a valid General Contractor’s License, a valid Georgia Utility Contractor License, GDOT Contractor Pre-qualification, and must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws. Additionally, contractors must submit various documents including: - A Bid Bond if the bid exceeds $100,000. - E-Verify Affidavit under O.C.G.A. - Performance bond upon contract award. - Proof of insurance.
