Background

The State of Nevada Purchasing Division, on behalf of the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources/Nevada Division of Forestry (NDF), is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to provide Flight Check Training services. The goal of this contract is to ensure that pilots are equipped with up-to-date training and knowledge of emergency procedures, along with required FAA certification. The State intends to award one contract based on the best interests of the State, which will be administered by NDF.

Work Details

The vendor will provide comprehensive Flight Check Training services, which include: - Two-day ground school training covering FAA airspace, weather analysis, performance planning, and academic training on Bell 212 Single and Bell 205A1 systems. - Three-day practical flight training in the UH-1H aircraft focusing on emergency procedures such as autorotation maneuvers, hydraulic failures, and tail rotor failure. - The vendor must ensure that all pilots complete both ground and flight training to maintain FAA certification. - Required documentation includes written test results, flight evaluation records, certificates of completion, and verification for FAA certification readiness within 10 business days post-training.

Period of Performance

The contract is expected to last for four years with an option for two one-year extensions, subject to Board of Examiners approval.
