Sand Harbor Non Motorized Guided Tours

Background

The State of Nevada Purchasing Division, on behalf of the Nevada Division of State Parks - Tahoe Region, is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to provide Sand Harbor Non-Motorized Guided Tour services. The Nevada Division of State Parks was established in 1963 and manages 27 parks within the state. The goal of this contract is to provide structured and sustainable non-motorized guided tour services at Sand Harbor, addressing the increasing demand for recreational experiences in the Lake Tahoe Basin.

Work Details

The Concessionaire shall operate non-motorized guided tours on the Premises in accordance with an approved Operations Plan and Safety and Emergency Response Plan. Services include: - Providing guided non-motorized watercraft tour services (kayaks and stand-up paddleboards). - Conducting tours during park operating hours. - Supplying all necessary equipment (kayaks, paddles, U.S. Coast Guard-approved personal flotation devices). - Ensuring all guides are trained and certified as required by PARKS. - Maintaining a PARKS-approved Safety and Emergency Response Plan. - Complying with all PARKS rules and regulations. A minimum bid of 10% of annual gross receipts from guided tour operations will be paid to the State of Nevada.

Period of Performance

The initial contract term is four years, anticipated to begin in October 2026, with options for two one-year extensions subject to agreement by the vendor and the State.

Sand Harbor Nevada State Park, located in the Tahoe Region.
