Background

The Department of Health (DOH), Hawaii State Hospital (HSH) is seeking a contractor for the maintenance of commercial appliances in the commercial kitchen and laundry buildings on the grounds of the Hawaii State Hospital. The goal of this contract is to ensure that all kitchen and laundry equipment is properly maintained to support the operations of HSH.

Work Details

The contractor will provide service and maintenance for the following equipment: Commercial Dishwasher, garbage disposal, commercial washer, and commercial dryer. The scope includes up to 6 service calls per quarter for each type of equipment, quarterly maintenance servicing, and all necessary inspections not covered under regular or preventative maintenance. Transportation charges must be included in the contract. Labor, parts, and shipping for supplies and materials are also included. Specific equipment to be serviced includes:

Imperial Fryer Model IFSCB250

- Baker’s Pride Convection Oven Model BCO-G1 (2 double stack ovens)

Imperial Deep Fryer Model IFSCB250

- Dexter Washers (4 models with specific serial numbers)

Speed Queen Dryer Model ST120LRQF6G1W01

- Dexter Dryers (2 models with specific serial numbers).

Period of Performance

The contract will be performed from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027. It may be extended for up to four additional twelve-month periods upon mutual agreement.

Place of Performance

All services will be performed at the Hawaii State Hospital located at 45-710 Kea'ahala Road, Kaneohe, HI 96744.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must have a minimum of 5 years of experience servicing the listed equipment. They must provide proof of compliance through Hawaii Compliance Express (HCE) and maintain compliance throughout the contract period. Additionally, bidders must have general liability insurance of at least $1 million per occurrence and $2 million aggregate, as well as automobile insurance of at least $1 million per occurrence. All contractors must attend a mandatory pre-offer conference on June 4, 2026.
