Snow Removal and Salting Services: New Jersey Turnpike and Garden State Parkway (2026-2029)

Background

The Marin County Department of Public Works is issuing a solicitation for the Nicasio Valley Road Paving Project, aimed at improving road conditions and safety on Nicasio Valley Road. The project is part of the county's ongoing efforts to maintain and enhance transportation infrastructure.

Work Details

The project will include the following improvements: - Asphalt grinding/milling - Pavement digouts - Hot mix asphalt overlay - Traffic striping - Traffic marking - Installation of traffic signs - Shoulder backing - Traffic control measures. The work will be conducted on Nicasio Valley Road from Lucas Valley Road to MP 2.82 bridge, covering approximately 1.09 miles north of the Lucas Valley Road intersection. The Engineer’s estimate for this project is $1,600,000.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must possess a valid Class 'A' License at the time of bid submittal. Additionally, both the Bidder and all subcontractors are required to be registered as public works contractors with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to the Labor Code. Registration must remain active throughout the term of the contract. A Bid Bond or equivalent in the amount of 10% of the total bid amount payable to the County of Marin must accompany the proposal.
