Armed Security Guard Service -LDH-Reg 6

Background

The Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) is seeking to establish a service contract for Armed Security Guard Services for its Medical Vendor Administration. The goal of this contract is to ensure the safety and security of its facilities and personnel in Region 6, specifically at the location on 1507 Lee Street, Alexandria, LA. This solicitation aims to provide a reliable security presence during operational hours.

Work Details

The contractor will provide armed security guard services from Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM. The services will require one (1) armed guard on-site at the specified location. The minimum wage for guards is set at $18.00 per hour, with a total estimated quantity of 2,200 hours for the fiscal year 2027.

Period of Performance

The initial contract period will commence on July 1, 2026, or upon award, whichever is later, and will conclude on June 30, 2027. The contract may be renewed for two additional 12-month periods at the same prices, with a total contract duration not exceeding 36 months.

Place of Performance

The services will be performed at the LDH Medical Vendor Administration located at 1507 Lee Street, Alexandria, LA 71301.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be licensed with the Louisiana State Board of Private Security Examiners to be eligible for award consideration. Additionally, all bidders must comply with state laws regarding registration and good standing with the Louisiana Secretary of State if holding a purchase order or contract over $25,000.
