The Louisiana Department of Corrections is seeking to establish a Blanket Order Contract for the provision of Eye Glass Frames for the Louisiana State Penitentiary R.E. Barrow, Jr. Treatment Center Optical Clinic. The goal of this contract is to supply necessary eyewear for inmates, ensuring compliance with specific design and material requirements suitable for correctional institutions.

Work Details

The contractor will provide 7,800 units of Eye Glass Frames, specifically the Hart Specialities brand, model Looking Glass, style number 1050 in black color. The frames must be designed for use in correctional institutions and made of injected propionate plastic without any core wire in the temple due to security reasons. Acceptable sizes include 50, 52, and 54. Delivery is required within 2 business days after receipt of order (ARO), and items are to be called for as needed by the agency, with an estimated usage of 250 frames per month.

Period of Performance

The contract period begins on July 1, 2026 or upon date of award, whichever is later, and ends on June 30, 2027. There is an option for renewal for two additional 12-month periods at the same prices, with a total contract time not exceeding 36 months.

Place of Performance

Delivery will be made to the DOC LA State Penitentiary-911 Warehouse located at 17544 Tunica Trace - Hwy 66, Angola, LA 70712.
