Septic Tank & Grease Trap Maintenance Services Countywide

Background

Fulton County, Georgia, through its Department of Real Estate and Asset Management, seeks to retain a qualified and experienced contractor to provide comprehensive septic tank and grease trap maintenance services across its facilities. This initiative aims to ensure compliance with local regulations, specifically the City of Atlanta Grease Management Ordinance 154-297.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for all labor, equipment, materials, and appurtenances necessary to pump, transport, and dispose of waste from septic tanks and grease traps located at various Fulton County facilities. The scope includes: - Fully pumping out exterior grease traps and/or septic tanks; - Scraping interior walls of grease traps; - Steam cleaning; - Ensuring proper disposal in accordance with applicable laws; - Performing maintenance on interior grease traps where applicable; - Providing septic pumping every six months or weekly as per local ordinance; - Thoroughly cleaning all tanks using mechanical and manual labor to remove sludge; - Ensuring work does not inconvenience building occupants; - Securing necessary permits and licenses; and - Furnishing all required materials, tools, equipment, and safety devices. Specific locations include one septic tank and 19 grease traps across various facilities with defined maintenance schedules.

Period of Performance

The contract is set to commence upon award and will continue until December 31, 2027. There are options for two one-year renewal terms subject to approval by the Fulton County Board of Commissioners.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed at various Fulton County facilities located throughout the county including specific addresses such as 5990 Stonewall Tell Road, Atlanta, GA 30349, among others listed in the bid documents.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must possess a Commercial Waste Hauler Permit and a Wastewater Discharge Permit issued by Georgia EPD. They must also have a valid Commercial Driver’s License for transport drivers certified for hazardous material transportation. Additionally, bidders must provide proof of professional licenses relevant to the work being performed (e.g., Commercial Septic Tank License). Failure to provide current facility permit numbers may result in bid rejection.
