2026 Coatings Program

Background

The Cobb County-Marietta Water Authority is issuing a contract for the 2026 Coatings Program, aimed at coating pipes, equipment, and other items at three specific locations: the Hugh A. Wyckoff Water Treatment Plant in Acworth, Georgia; the James E. Quarles Water Treatment Plant in Marietta, Georgia; and the Groover Mountain Pump Station in Marietta, Georgia. The goal of this project is to ensure the longevity and functionality of water treatment infrastructure.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for furnishing all materials and providing all labor, tools, and equipment necessary for the coating of pipes and equipment at the specified water treatment plants and pump station. The work will culminate in a final completion timeline of 180 consecutive calendar days from the date of commencement.

The contract work is expected to be completed within 180 consecutive calendar days from the commencement date.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed at three locations: - Hugh A. Wyckoff Water Treatment Plant (3728 Mars Hill Road, Acworth, Georgia 30101) - James E. Quarles Water Treatment Plant (4402 Lower Roswell Road, Marietta, Georgia 30068) - Groover Mountain Pump Station (1700 East Piedmont Road, Marietta, Georgia 30062).

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be pre-qualified to submit bids. They are required to submit a Bid Bond equivalent to five percent of the total contract amount or a certified check/cash in equal amount. Additionally, each bid must include: - A notarized Non-Collusion Affidavit - Contractor’s License Certification - Affidavit Verifying Status for Cobb County-Marietta Water Authority Public Benefit Application - Security and Immigration Compliance Act Certification. Bidders must also be licensed in Georgia at the time of bidding.
