Quality Assessment Review

Background

The University of Kentucky is issuing this Request for Proposal (RFP) to invite qualified firms to conduct an external Quality Assessment Review (QAR) of the University of Kentucky Internal Audit Department (UKIA). The goal is to measure compliance with the Institute of Internal Auditors Global Internal Audit Standards using guidelines defined in the Institute's Quality Assessment Manual, 2024 Edition. UKIA provides independent assurance and advisory functions to support the university's operational and compliance responsibilities.

Work Details

The contractor will perform a comprehensive assessment that includes: 1. Evaluation of UKIA's compliance with the Institute of Internal Auditors Global Internal Audit Standards. 2. Overall assessment of UKIA's internal auditing functions. The successful contractor will be required to deliver a written report and a final presentation detailing their findings and recommendations for improvement.

Period of Performance

The contract will commence upon award and is expected to be completed by June 18, 2026.

Place of Performance

The contract will be performed at the University of Kentucky, located in Lexington, KY.

Bidder Requirements

Offerors must demonstrate experience in conducting quality assessments in internal audit, particularly for higher education institutions. They must provide evidence of qualifications, including team member credentials, organizational history, and any legal or financial issues that may affect their ability to perform the contract. Offerors must also be licensed to do business in Kentucky.
