WWTF Influent Channel Concrete Repair Project

Background

The City of Watsonville, located in Santa Cruz County, is seeking bids for the WWTF Influent Channel Concrete Repair Project. This project aims to rehabilitate the existing Influent Channel ahead of the Primary Sedimentation Basins at the Wastewater Treatment Facility. The goal is to ensure the structural integrity and functionality of the channel as part of the city's wastewater management efforts.

Work Details

The project involves moderate to heavy concrete channel rehabilitation and aluminum grating replacement along the primary channel in front of Primary Sedimentation Basins 1 and 2. Specific tasks include: - Mobilization/Demobilization - Demolition - Moderate Concrete Repair (80 SF) - Heavy Concrete Repair (180 SF) - Aluminum Grating Replacement (180 SF) - Slide Gate Hatch Modifications (Allowance of $20,000). All work must be completed in accordance with the provided plans and specifications.

The contract will be performed over a specified timeframe, with bids due on June 25, 2026, before 3:00 pm.

The work will be conducted at the Wastewater Treatment Facility located in Watsonville, California.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must possess a valid Class A - General Engineering Contractor’s License as per California Contractor's License Law. Additionally, all contractors and subcontractors must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations to perform public work. A bid bond of 10% of the bid amount is required, and bidders must provide proof of workers' compensation insurance.
