Summary (Newest Update)

Background In 2022, the US Army initiated the modernization of the Joint Automated Deep Operations Coordination System (JADOCS), which has a history of evolutionary development dating back to its predecessor, the Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS). JADOCS was officially renamed in 2003 and has undergone various stages of development and acquisition approval. Due to its aging software architecture, the U.S. Army is developing a successor system called the Joint Targeting Integrated Command and Coordination Suite (JTIC2S) to provide enhanced fires targeting capabilities and a joint operational picture across forces. The JTIC2S is being developed by the US Army C5ISR Center at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, utilizing a multi-vendor approach and an agile development model focused on iterative improvements and user feedback. Work Details The JTIC2S aims to automate planning, joint/coalition coordination, and targeting processes. Key desired capabilities include: - Integration of Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) for automation of targeting processes. - Enhanced data fusion from multi-domain Joint interfaces (e.g., Link-16). - Improved user interface/user experience (UI/UX) to reduce cognitive load on operators. - Transition to a cloud-native architecture for scalability and resilience. - Sharing of data across common data fabric(s). - Maximizing use of common services and applications as they become available through the Next Generation Command and Control (NGC2) initiative. Period of Performance The goal is full displacement of JADOCS for all Army users by the end of FY2026, with a threshold for beginning displacement by that same date. Place of Performance Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), Maryland. Bidder Requirements This RFI seeks to identify commercially mature solutions from industry partners or commercial interest in evolving JTIC2S capabilities. Specific bidder requirements are not detailed in this RFI.
