Arial Platform Preventive Maintenance & Service Contract

Background

Canyons School District (CSD) is seeking competitive sealed bids from qualified service providers to perform annual certification, preventive maintenance, and repair services for its fleet of aerial work platform (AWP) equipment. This includes scissor lifts, boom lifts, and bucket trucks located across multiple district facilities. The goal of this contract is to ensure all AWPs remain safe, compliant, and fully operational through scheduled inspections and maintenance.

Work Details

The selected contractor shall provide comprehensive service and maintenance for all CSD-owned aerial work platforms, including: - Annual certification - Preventive maintenance (PM) - Scheduled and emergency repairs - Pickup, transport, and return of equipment - Comprehensive documentation and reporting. All work must comply with OSHA, ANSI, and manufacturer specifications. Only OEM parts may be used unless prior written approval is obtained from CSD. Annual certification must be completed between January 1 and February 28 each year. PM visits include fluid level checks, battery inspection, safety device functionality testing, etc. Repair services cover hydraulic system repairs, electrical diagnostics, structural repairs (with authorization), etc.

Period of Performance

The contract will last for one year with an option to extend annually for up to four additional years at the discretion of CSD.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed at various CSD facilities located in Sandy, Utah.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must have a valid business license in Utah; be an authorized service provider for Genie, JLG, and Skyjack; have a minimum of five years of experience servicing aerial work platforms; be located within 70 miles of Sandy; provide on-site capability; offer pickup and delivery services; assign a dedicated point of contact for coordination; and meet all insurance requirements.
