Work Details

The procurement includes the following items: - 2 Standard BioTools X9 High-Throughput Genomics Systems, which are the only instruments capable of performing metagenomics testing on raw stool specimens. - A five-year service agreement for these units at a fixed upfront cost. - Reagents that can only be obtained directly from Standard BioTools. The project requires an expansion of capacity due to increased throughput, necessitating the addition of 2 more X9 units with corresponding service agreements.

Period of Performance

The contract will commence on December 13, 2023, and conclude on December 12, 2028.

Place of Performance

The products and services will be delivered to the CDC's designated locations as part of the genomic surveillance program.

Bidder Requirements

The vendor must be Standard BioTools (formerly Fluidigm Corporation), as they are the sole manufacturer and certified service provider for the X9 unit. The vendor is required to provide training for lab personnel on the use of the instrument.
