Background

The County of Kenosha, Wisconsin, through its Purchasing Division, is seeking bids to establish a contract for the replacement of garage doors and openers at the Kenosha County Highway Division located at 19600 75th Street, Bristol, WI 53104. The goal of this contract is to enhance the functionality and safety of the garage facilities used by the Highway Division.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks: 1. Remove old overhead door openers and install new Liftmaster model GH103L5 1HP 480v 3-phase or equivalent door openers. 2. Remove old doors and install a new 10-section, double-sided steel overhead door (Raynor TM300) measuring 20'2" X 18' with an R-Value of 24.54, including five insulated glass windows in the third section from the bottom. 3. Install new vertical and horizontal sections of 3" 13-gauge steel overhead door track on both sides of all doors. 4. Install new high-cycle spring assemblies, torsion bars, door hardware, seals, and lift cables on all doors with case-hardened steel track rollers. 5. Install new three-button control stations (Telectron PBS-3) on all doors. 6. Replace old photo eye systems with new Liftmaster Light Curtain LC36M electronic eyes on all doors. 7. Perform all necessary electrical work (24Volt or lower) for door operations per NEC guidelines; higher voltage work will be handled by Kenosha County electricians.

Period of Performance

The contract will commence immediately upon award and will continue until project completion.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must have been in the business of garage door replacement for at least five years and must provide references from three firms for similar services provided in that timeframe. Bidders must also submit a completed Vendor Responsibility Questionnaire to demonstrate their legal authority to do business in Wisconsin and satisfactory performance on previous contracts.
