Background The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price Requirements Contract for Packing & Crating services to support the Department of Defense (DOD) personnel. The goal of this contract is to ensure the proper preparation of personal property for shipment and/or storage, utilizing the Direct Procurement Method (DPM). The services will be provided at Fort Wainwright, Alaska, Fort Greely, Alaska, and other areas as needed in Alaska. Work Details The contractor will provide all personnel, equipment, facilities, supplies, services, and materials necessary for the packing, crating, storage, and shipment of personal property. Specific tasks include: - Conducting premove surveys to assess the nature of personal property; - Weighing shipments using certified scales; - Submitting weight tickets with gross, tare, and net weights; - Performing containerization of personal property for movement or storage; - Handling inbound shipments; and - Ensuring compliance with commercial standards and best practices. The contractor is responsible for all aspects of the service except for government-furnished materials. Period of Performance The contract will have a base period of 12 months with four additional 12-month options available for renewal. Place of Performance The services will be performed at Fort Wainwright, Alaska; Fort Greely, Alaska; and potentially other locations within Alaska as required.
