Background The USGS (United States Geological Survey) is seeking to procure the operation of a wet atmospheric monitoring station designated site NC36 as part of the National Trends Network (NTN). The goal of this contract is to support the interagency National Atmospheric Deposition Program by ensuring the proper operation and maintenance of the precipitation collection station. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for operating a field-located precipitation collection station on a weekly basis. This includes: - Conducting weekly site visits to collect, process, and ship precipitation samples; - Collecting, processing, and transmitting associated data including precipitation gage records; - Performing routine instrument checks; and - Conducting maintenance and repairs as needed. The contractor will also coordinate with the Wisconsin State Laboratory of Hygiene (WSLH) regarding site specifications, performance, operations, data checking, replacement parts provision, guidance, and training. Period of Performance The period of performance is for a 12-month base period with four additional 12-month option periods. Place of Performance The contract will be performed at the NADP/NTN wet atmospheric monitoring station designated site NC36.
