Job Order Contractors for General, Electrical, Mechanical, Roofing, Paving

Background

The University of Kentucky is seeking contractors to perform construction services through a Job Order Contracting (JOC) method. This indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract will be utilized for projects at both General and Medical Facilities. The goal is to streamline project delivery across the Lexington market, particularly in healthcare and campus departments. The University intends to award multiple contracts, with job orders typically valued at less than $3 million. Work Details

Contractors will provide various construction services under the JOC program, which includes general, electrical, mechanical, roofing, and paving work. The awarded contractors will utilize a unit price book and software for pricing management provided by FOS of Cannon Design. Training will be provided for all awarded contractors and their staff. No specific quantities or brand names are mentioned; however, the scope includes a wide range of construction tasks that may arise during the contract period.

Period of Performance

The initial term of the contract will end on July 31, 2027, with the possibility of three additional one-year renewals based on funding availability and satisfaction with services.

Place of Performance

The contract work will be performed primarily in Lexington, Kentucky, at various University facilities including healthcare and medical science locations.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with specific requirements including registration with the Kentucky Department of Revenue for tax purposes.
