WCSD Nutrition 2026 Elementary Service Units

Background

The Waukee Nutrition Services Department is seeking quotes for elementary service units to support their mission of providing quality nutrition services to students. The goal of this contract is to procure necessary equipment for various elementary schools within the district, ensuring that they meet specified standards and requirements.

Work Details

The contractor will provide the following equipment as specified in the attached specification sheets:

Brookview Elementary

5 well hot/cold/freeze unit, utility table, cold serving counter, customer serving counter, and 2 BSI sneeze guards (1 for the 5 well table and 1 for the cold table).

Eason Elementary

5 well hot/cold/freeze unit, utility table, and 1 BSI sneeze guard.

Walnut Hills Elementary

5 well hot/cold/freeze unit, utility table, and 1 BSI sneeze guard. All items must be itemized based on specifications in the bid document. The awarded vendor must deliver all items uncrated and put in place at each site. Warranty provisions include a 3-year parts/labor warranty and a 5-year warranty on all equipment at no additional charge.

Period of Performance

The delivery of equipment cannot occur before July 1, 2025. The bid release date is May 18, 2026, with bids due by June 3, 2026. The intent to award will be announced by June 5, 2026, with final approval at the Waukee CSD Board meeting on June 8, 2026.

Place of Performance

The contract will be performed at various elementary schools within the Waukee Community School District in Iowa.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must include a company price quote along with several attachments: Attachment A (Suspension & Debarment Certification), Attachment B (Assurance of Civil Rights Compliance), Attachment C (Assurance of Non-Collusion), and Attachment D (Certification Regarding Lobbying). Vendors are encouraged to comply with equal opportunity employment practices and must not have been debarred or suspended from federal programs.
