Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, supervision, equipment, tools, parts, and materials necessary for the maintenance and treatment of water systems. Key responsibilities include: 1. Engaging in the business of providing services and chemicals for water treatment of mechanical systems. 2. Conducting inspections and testing of water treatment equipment. 3. Providing written reports after each inspection detailing water chemistry levels and areas needing improvement. 4. Covering costs for repairs if mechanical equipment fails due to improper water treatment. 5. Adhering to ASHRAE standards for HVAC and boiler water treatment. 6. Offering an all-inclusive hourly labor rate for inspection and testing without additional charges for transportation or tools. 7. Providing chemicals at a firm fixed discount percentage based on published prices that may change over time.

Period of Performance

The initial contract period will commence from the date of award and will last for one year, with the possibility of four optional renewal periods.

Services will be performed at Piedmont Geriatric Hospital located at 4901 East Patrick Henry Highway, Burkeville, Virginia 23922.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be authorized resellers of proposed chemicals and must have experience in HVAC and boiler water-treatment inspection services. Contractors are required to provide Certified Water Technologists capable of analyzing water qualities. Additionally, bidders must comply with insurance requirements including workers’ compensation, general liability, and automobile liability coverage.
