Background The Van Buren Land Port of Entry (LPOE) is managed by the General Services Administration (GSA), which is responsible for the construction and maintenance of federal properties. The goal of this contract is to perform necessary asphalt removal and replacement work at the Van Buren LPOE in Maine, ensuring safe and efficient access for vehicles entering the United States. Work Details The project involves the removal and replacement of approximately 53,000 square feet of asphalt at the Van Buren Land Point of Entry. The scope includes: - Disposal of removed asphalt - Application of road markings - Provision of a Maine DOT-approved traffic control plan. The work is structured into a base and option format, with approximately 80% of the area included in the base bid and 20% in the optional bid.
