This market research is to identify entities that could provide flooring installation . The purpose of the sources sought is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classifications relative to NAICS 238330. It will also be used to identify qualified and responsible small business vendors (e.g. Service Disabled/Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB/VOSB), Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone), 8(a), small disadvantaged, women-owned small business). Background The VA Maryland Health Care System (VAMHCS), through Network Contracting Office 5, is conducting market research to identify potential qualified sources for flooring installation services. This initiative aims to enhance the safety and cleanliness of the Baltimore VA Medical Center and its associated facilities by replacing outdated and damaged flooring. The contract seeks to engage small business vendors, including Service Disabled/Veteran-Owned Small Businesses, Historically Underutilized Business Zone firms, and other socio-economic classifications. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for providing comprehensive flooring installation services across multiple locations within the Baltimore VA Medical Center, Loch Raven, and Perry Point facilities. The scope includes: - Removal and disposal of existing flooring or carpet. - Installation of approximately 480,600 square feet of new flooring over a five-year period, with an annual target of 120,150 square feet. - Specific flooring requirements include: - 2,000 square yards of carpet tile (18,000 sq ft) annually. - 3,000 square yards of vinyl sheet tile (27,000 sq ft) annually. - 7,000 sq ft of resinous epoxy flooring annually. - Installation of 76,000 linear feet of cove base and 50,000 linear feet of flash cove, corners, and transition strips. - The contractor must provide all necessary labor, equipment, tools, accessories, and materials for the installation process. A project manager or designer must be onsite during execution. Period of Performance Base plus four-year option period.
