(3) Codes for services or supplies: NAICS 334112 (4) Description: (i) The requirement is for Annual Maintenance Support Contract Renewal, Spectra Logic SpectraGuard Next Business Day On Site Support for the Spectra T120 (LTO-7) tape libraries, a proprietary hardware that currently serves to maintain a reliable enterprise system backup production environment and the continuity of operations (COOP) for the scientific mission at the Southwest Fisheries Science Center. This system ensures data protection from loss due to inadvertent user actions, hardware and software failure, and general disaster or emergency situations with offsite backup storage. The Spectra Logic T120 tape libraries are the primary device for creating secondary copies of the tape based system and data backups for offsite storage as part of the Center's disaster protection and recovery (COOP) plan. The requirement is for maintenance on this existing system, not an equivalent replacement system; (ii) This presolicitation notice is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation package is available. However, firms that believe they can fully meet the Government's requirements may submit substantiating documentation or a request for additional information digitally via email to the points of contact listed above before the due date/ deadline of this SAM posting. Such requests and documentation will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to conduct a competitive procurement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. The anticipated award date is estimated to be 06/01/2026.
