Background The Atlanta VA Medical Center, part of the Department of Veterans Affairs, is seeking to procure Fire Alarm and Sprinkler Testing Maintenance and Repair services. This procurement is set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses. The goal of this contract is to ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain the fire protection systems at the facility. Work Details The vendor shall perform Fire Protection Systems Inspection Testing Management in accordance with Joint Commission Standards and National Fire Protection Association Codes at the Atlanta VA Medical Center. Specific tasks include: - Maintaining and servicing the Siemens Desigo Modular Fire Alarm System, which is the standard for fire life safety at the facility. - Conducting inspections and testing services compliant with JCAHO/NFPA Standards, including documentation of all test results. - Performing semi-annual inspections of tampers and waterflow switches, wet/dry sprinkler inspections, verification of AHU Shutdown with duct detector testing, annual fire hydrant testing, quarterly supervisory signal testing, and 5-year Standpipe Flow Testing. - Providing detailed reports on inspection results within two weeks of completion. - Ensuring that all work that requires utility outages occurs after hours or during weekends to minimize disruption to patient care.
