This work will have to be done in phases to maintain security of the area. Background The Office of Special Investigations (OSI) at Columbus Air Force Base (CAFB) is seeking to replace flooring that has exceeded its useful life expectancy and has sustained water damage from previous roof leaks. The goal of this contract is to transition from carpet to Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT) to better accommodate heavy foot and equipment traffic in the area. This project is part of a broader effort to maintain the integrity and functionality of the OSI section within B926. Work Details The contractor must provide all necessary plant, labor, equipment, transportation, and tools for a full carpet replacement with Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT) in the OSI section of B926. The scope includes: 1. Replacement of approximately 230 sqft of carpet tile with new carpet tile. 2. Demolition of a wall between two existing rooms. 3. Work must be completed in phases to maintain security in the area. 4. LVT specifications include commercial grade with a 22 mm wear layer, waterproof, scratch resistant, and compliant with ADA slip resistance requirements. 5. Carpet tile must meet specific standards including green label plus certification, NSF/ANSI 140 Gold Level Certification, and fire resistance compliance per 16 CFR 1630. 6. Phase 1 involves demolition of existing carpet and cove base in rooms 209 and 219, installation of new LVT and rubber cove base, and coordination for transitioning to phase 2. 7. Phase 2 includes demolition in multiple rooms (201-213), installation of new flooring types as specified for each room, and wall demolition between rooms 212 and 213. 8.
