The purpose of this requirement is to procure myBaits Custom 480K hybridization capture reagents equivalent to sixty-four (64) enrichment reactions (Rxns) to support targeted metagenomic sequencing for the detection and identification of arthropod contaminants in food products. This procurement is for reagents only; sequencing equipment and associated laboratory instrumentation are already available in the Wiley Building (CPK1).
Background The Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Office of Acquisitions and Grant Services, Facilities Support Branch, intends to award a firm-fixed-price purchase order for laboratory reagents to Arbor Biosciences located at 5840 Interface DR STE 101, Ann Arbor, Michigan, 48103-9176. This procurement supports FDA Project No: HFP-2026-133128 and aims to enhance the agency's capability in conducting specialized laboratory research under current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and current Good Laboratory Practices (cGLP) standards. Arbor Biosciences is believed to be the only responsible source capable of providing the proprietary myBaits® Custom capture reagent required for this project.
