Malvern Panalytical, Inc. Authority: This acquisition is conducted under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Description The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) intends to award a sole source contract to Malvern Panalytical, Inc. for maintenance and service support of a Malvern Panalytical Axios Wavelength-Dispersive X-Ray Fluorescence (WD-XRF) spectrometer located at FDA University Station (CPK2), College Park, Maryland. The service agreement will include manufacturer-authorized maintenance and repairs, preventative maintenance, replacement parts, and on-site service performed by factory-certified engineers.
811219 Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance PSC: J066 Maintenance, Repair, and Rebuilding of Instruments and Laboratory Equipment Justification Malvern Panalytical, Inc. is the only manufacturer and authorized service provider for the Axios WD-XRF spectrometer. The company exclusively provides certified technicians, proprietary diagnostics, software updates, and genuine replacement parts necessary to maintain the instrument in accordance with manufacturer specifications and FDA regulatory requirements.
Base period of one (1) year with four (4) one-year option periods. It is anticipated that an award will be issued to Malvern Panalytical, Inc. within approximately fifteen (15) days after the closing date of this notice unless the Government determines that any other organization has the capacity to meet this requirement.
