Background The National Park Service (NPS) is issuing this solicitation for the removal and disposal of a floating dock at Hyde Street Pier, located within the San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park. The goal of this contract is to ensure the safe and efficient removal of the dock, which is in poor condition and poses safety risks. This project is part of NPS's ongoing efforts to maintain and improve park facilities for public safety and enjoyment. Work Details The Scope of Work (SOW) includes the following tasks: 1) Remove and dispose of the floating dock at Hyde Street Pier. The contractor must conduct all work from a barge due to the structural limitations of the pier, which restricts access for vehicles, cranes, and heavy equipment. The contractor will be responsible for site safety during removal activities, ensuring that recreational users do not inadvertently enter the work area. All staging of equipment, removals, and transport of materials must be conducted from the water. The contractor is also encouraged to conduct a site visit prior to submitting a proposal to understand site limitations fully. Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations is required, including obtaining necessary permits for the removal and disposal process. Period of Performance The contractor shall commence all work within 10 days of award and shall complete all work within 60 days after award.
