Background The Federal Bureau of Prisons is issuing a solicitation for food products as part of their budget for the 3rd Quarter of FY 2026. The goal of this contract is to procure fruit items, specifically applesauce and raisins, to meet the dietary needs of inmates at the Danbury Federal Correctional Institution. Work Details The contract includes the following specific products to be delivered: - Applesauce, 6-#10 Cans: 112 units required. The applesauce must be processed and meet the conditions of use as specified in 21 CFR §101.60(c)(2). It should comply with CID A-A-20317B, Type I - Unflavored applesauce, with sweetness level 1 (unsweetened), and must be packed to standard U.S. Grade B or better. The product must originate from crops that have been 100 percent grown, processed, and packed in the United States or Canada. - Raisins Bulk: 4 cases of 30-pound bulk raisins are required. The raisins must be seedless and meet standard grade specifications. Place of Performance The products will be delivered to the Danbury Federal Correctional Institution located in Danbury, Connecticut.
