Background The City of Fargo is seeking proposals for cleaning services at the Public Safety Building, located at 4630 15th Ave. N, Fargo, ND 58102. The goal of this contract is to maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the facility, supporting the city's mission to provide a safe environment for its citizens and employees. Work Details The contractor will provide comprehensive cleaning services including daily vacuuming of carpets, sweeping and mopping hard surfaces, disinfecting sinks and drinking fountains, emptying trash and recycling containers, cleaning restrooms, and maintaining cleanliness in lunch/break rooms. Specific tasks include: - Daily: Vacuum carpets, sweep/mop hard surfaces, clean/disinfect sinks and drinking fountains, spot clean glass up to 6 feet high, empty trash/recycling bins. - Weekly: High dusting in all areas. - Bi-Weekly: Edge-clean carpets. - Monthly: Detail edges of hard surface flooring; dust/clean chairs and tables. - Quarterly: Dust/clean air vents; clean light fixtures. - Semi-Annually: Dust window treatments; clean all glass; shampoo carpets; maintain hard surface flooring. - Yearly: Strip/refinish hard surface flooring; shampoo upholstered furniture. The contractor must also supply necessary cleaning equipment and maintain a janitorial closet provided by the city. Period of Performance The contract will commence on March 1, 2026, and will last for three years until February 28, 2029. Bidder Requirements Bidders must have maintained an office in the Fargo/Moorhead area for a minimum of five years. All staff must be fingerprinted and pass a background check. The contractor must have at least five years of experience in professional janitorial services comparable to this facility's size and requirements. Insurance coverage (Worker’s Compensation, General Liability) must be maintained during the contract term.
